Also meine grub.conf sieht so aus:
[code:1]# Boot automatically after 30 secs.
timeout 10
# By default, boot the first entry.
default 0
# Fallback to the second entry.
fallback 1
# Nice, fast splash-image to spice things up
splashimage=(hd0,1)/grub/splash.xpm.gz
# For booting GNU/Linux
title GNU/Linux
root (hd0,4)
kernel (hd0,1)/kernel-2.6.1-gentoo-r1 root=/dev/hda5 vga=791
# For booting Windows NT or Windows95
title Windows XP
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
makeactive
chainloader +1
# For loading DOS if Windows NT is installed
# chainload /bootsect.dos
# For installing GRUB into the hard disk
title Install GRUB into the hard disk
root (hd0,0)
setup (hd0)
# Change the colors.
title Change the colors
color light-green/brown blink-red/blue[/code:1]
Wobei die Partitionen wie folgt liegen:
[code:1]/dev/hda5 on / type reiserfs (rw,noatime)
none on /proc type proc (rw)
none on /sys type sysfs (rw)
none on /dev type devfs (rw)
none on /dev/pts type devpts (rw)
/dev/hda7 on /data type reiserfs (rw,noatime)
none on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw)
none on /proc/bus/usb type usbfs (rw)
/dev/hda2 on /boot type ext2 (rw,noatime)
[/code:1]
Normalerweise ist die /boot-Partition nicht gemountet im laufenden Betrieb.
Die Zeilen:
[code:1]root (hd0,4)
kernel (hd0,1)/kernel-2.6.1-gentoo-r1 root=/dev/hda5 vga=791
[/code:1] stellen somit die root-Partition auf hda5 ein und geben den direkten Weg zum Kernel-Image an.
Ciao
