Hallo zusammen
Als Gentoo installiert habe, beschloss ich für folgende Partitionierung anzulegen:
- boot: 500 MB
- swap: 5 GB
- /: 50 GB
- home: ganzer Rest, also 444.5 GB
zusätzlich habe ich nun eine externe HD, welche nur fürs Backup zuständig ist. Diese wird unter /mnt/backup gemountet. Hier mein fstab

Die externe HD läuft also unter sdb1. Nun habe ich eine Meldung bekommen, dass mein root Partition praktisch voll sei. Daraufhin habe ich alte distfiles etc. gelöscht. Dennoch brachte dies nur eine Einsparung von ca. 3 GB. Probeweise habe ich dann mein Backup gelöscht. Daraufhin war die root Partition praktisch wieder leer nur noch 30% waren belegt. Als ich dann ein neues Backup erstellte, erhielt ich sofort wieder eine Warnung betreffend Platz auf der root Partition. Diese liegt nun wieder bei 100%, siehe hier:

Wieso geschieht dies?! Das backup wird ja auf einer externen HD gespeichert. Ist das ein Problem des System, dass es dies nicht erkennt? Wenn ich jetzt nichts tue, kann ich dann trotzdem weiterarbeiten oder kann es zu Problemen kommen. Ich weiss, dass wenn das System denkt, es hätte nicht genügend Speicherplatz, es gar nicht erst startet, resp. eine Fehlermeldung ausgiebt. Wie immer danke ich euch für eure Hilfe!
