runter-/hochfahren auch bei Openrc Problem

Vor kurzem habe ich in einem Thread das Problem beschrieben, dass der PC oft nicht richtig startet.
Damit ist gemeint, dass er nur bis zum Konsolen-login kommt, obwohl Normaler weise sddm starten müsste,
und die Schrift auf der Konsole auch ganz groß ist, so das ich nur ca. 15 Zeilen über 786 Pixel habe.

Nachdem dieses Problem bei Systemd aufgetreten ist habe ich mein System neu installiert, ohne Systemd
aber ich habe fast alle Einstellungen (auch fast alle von /usr/src/linux ...) vom alten System übernommen.

Das Problem liegt wahrscheinlich bei udev, aber es tritt halt nicht immer auf, manchmal startet der PC auch ganz normal,
mein Zweitsystem startet immer ganz normal.

Im Anhang habe ich die Ausgabe von dmesg einmal beim nicht richtig starten (dmesg.txt), und einmal beim normal starten (dmesg1.txt) beigefügt.
Es währe wirklich nett, wenn mir jemand helfen könnte.

Beim Runterfahren gibt es irgendein Problem beim Aushängen von "/",
und der PC stoppt vor dem Ausschalten, und bleibt hängen.


EDIT: vieleicht hilf ja die Ausgabe von genkernel --install initramfs weiter? Sie zeigt aufjedenfall auch udev Fehler:

Ich habe bemerkt, dass auf jeden Fall, wenn ich das LAN-Kabel bei booten nicht einstecke, der Computer "normal" startet.

Wäre es evtl. sinnvoll, den Kernel noch einmal komplett neu zu bauen und zu konfigurieren (bei 0 anfangen)?
Hat wirklich keiner eine Idee?

Wenn Du udev im Verdacht hast, wäre jetzt zunächst die Frage, ob udev überhaupt im richtigen runlevel "sysinit" steht und auch gestartet ist.

Du kannst in der Datei etc/conf.d/udev noch einiges im Bereich Log-file einstellen, siehe wiki
evtl. bekommst Du dann noch weitere Informationen.

Sonst evtl. den kernel mal mit genkernel all neu machen. da müsste ja dann wirklich fast alles drin sein und das Paket linux-firmware?

Ist aber auch nur ein Gedankenansatz, fundiertes Wissen steckt nicht dahinter :-)

Hast Du komplett neu aufgesetzt oder nur von systemd auf openrc umgestellt?

Hast du auch jetzt auch das Paket sys-fs/eudev installiert, oder noch das von systemd sys-fs/udev?

Das mit dem Kernel ist nur ein Schuss ins Blaue :-) Ich kann es nicht fundiert belegen ob es dann klappt

leider kann ich im Moment die, kernel nicht neu bauen, da ich Risiken vermeiden muss, dass es Bootprobleme gibt.
Ich brauche zumindest die nächste Woche noch einen funktionierenden PC.

Also ich habe mich mal wieder an das Problem gewagt und einen ganz frischen Kernel erstellt:

Leider hat das keinen Unterschied gemacht :(
Ich hatte zwar erst das Gefühl, dass jetzt kein Problem mehr Auftritt, aber dann kam es doch wieder (kein start von sddm oder X, runterfahren endet mit :"kvm: existing hardware virtualisation",
dann geht es nicht weiter)
Der Fehler tritt seltsamer weise nur manchmal auf.
In den logs konnte ich nichts finden ich sende aber noch rc.log und Xorg.1.log falls das weiter hilft.

Hat irgendwer noch ne Idee :( :( :( ?

leider kann ich im Moment die, kernel nicht neu bauen, da ich Risiken vermeiden muss, dass es Bootprobleme gibt.


lässt sich leicht lösen einfach, einfach den einen Kernel mit der zu gehörigen .config sichern somit hast du immer einen lauffähigen Kernel.
Außerdem kannst du ja 3 - 4 verschiedene Kernel in den Boot Ordner kopieren grub zeigt ja am Anfang ja immer ein Menü an :)

Naja einen neuen Kernel habe ich schon. Also einfach den alten gesichert usw.
Das Problem tritt jetzt auch seltener auf, aber es tritt eben noch auf.

Aber was für Einstellungen könnte ich noch vergessen haben?

genkernel all
neu erstellen und auch linux-firmware installieren (wenn es noch nicht geschehen ist) und dann es noch einmal beobachten.

In den anderen Foren (debian & Arch) wird zu dem Thema " kvm: exiting hardware virtualization" eben oft der Kernel genannt.

Passiert das denn auch wenn du im Terminal ein normales

Ist der neue Kernel denn ganz neu erstellt, oder hast du die Config von der systemd-Inst 1:1 übernommen? Dort muss du ja bestimmte Dinge für systemd aktivieren. Ich kann Dir aber auch nicht sagen ob das wirklich Auswirkungen auf die neue openrc-Installation hat. Obwohl du ja geschrieben hattest, neu aufgesetzt.

Erstmal Danke für die Antworten.
Ich wusste doch das irgendwer mir weiterhelfen kann.
Ich werde die genannten Tipps mal ausprobieren.

Um es nochmal klar zu stellen, ich habe:
- die /usr/src/linux/.config gelöscht
- dann mit make && make modules_install && make install einen neuen Kernel erstellt
- diesen nicht weiter Konfiguriert (bis jetzt)
- mit genkernel --install initramfs ein initramfs erstellt

Zum hoch und runter fahren:
- wei gesagt, es tritt nur manchmal auf, aber wenn dann gibt es beim hoch und runterfahren Probleme
- ich fahre generell über die Kommandozeile mit sudo shutdown now -h runter.

Was ich jetzt tun werde:
- probieren ob ein Kernel mit genkernel besser läuft
- was in dem verlinkten Thread steht ausprobieren

- dbus ist schon im default runlevel
- sddm.conf gab es noch nicht
- nach dem erstellen von sddm.conf startete der PC dennoch nicht normal
-> ich denke es Liegt nicht an sddm, das war mit slim (simple login manager oder so) das selbe

Also ich habe jetzt meinen Kernel von 4.4.6 auf 4.4.21 gezogen, das hatte ich beim Update vergessen,
dann einen neuen Kernel mit

@sdoubleyou nicht "--all" sonder "all" als Option :)

Dann ist meine Home-Partition Kaputt gewesen!!
Diese habe ich dann mit "dd /dev/sda6 | gzip > MEIN_IMAGE" oder so ähnlich gesichert.
Sie hatte XFS ich konnte das Dateisystem nur noch mit xfs_repair -L reparieren,
was glücklicher weise funktioniert hat. :thumbsup: Das waren immerhin 70 GB Daten.

Naja bisher hat das starten funktioniert, ich werde es aber noch ein paar Tage langzeittesten.

Das löschen der .config reicht nicht ganz. Wenn alles weg soll musst du ein make mrproper machen. Bei genkernel ist das ähnlich, je nachdem wie es eingestellt ist. Es nimmt aber die Konfiguration unter /etc/kernels/... Die musst du löschen.

Also wie es scheint hat das keinen Unterschied gemacht.
Ich habe jetzt das gleiche Problem wie Vorher.
Denkt ihr es könnte daran liegen, dass das XFS beschädigt ist, oder der Kernel dafür nicht richtig konfiguriert o.ä.?

Denkt ihr es könnte daran liegen, dass das XFS beschädigt ist, oder der Kernel dafür nicht richtig konfiguriert o.ä.?

Das kannst Du ja selber mal überprüfen mit xfs_check bzw. wegen dem Kernel das mit dem Wiki-Beitrag abgleichen

Ich dachte eigentlich brauche ich kein XFS deshalb habe ich das jetzt auf ext4 geändert, bisher gab es keine boot Probleme, und bei dem Wiki von XFS hatte ich keine
Einstellungen gefunden, die mir fehlen könnten.
Bei ext4 kann ich mir eben sicher sein, dass es läuft und viel mehr brauch ich auch nicht.

Ich habe jetzt ext4 und die Hardwareclock geht auch,
das Problem besteht aber immer noch.

Ich sende bald mal ein Paar Fotos vom hoch und runter fahren, falls jemand dort etwas erkennen kann.
