Moin zusammen!
Nachdem vmware hier schon mal lief, hab ich jetzt folgendes Problem:
Nach diversen Updates (kernel, gcc, etc.) bekomme ich beim Versuch "vmware-config.pl" auszuführen folgenden Fehler gemeldet:
---schnippel---
None of the pre-built vmmon modules for VMware Workstation is suitable for your running kernel. Do you want this program to try to build the vmmon module for your system (you need to have a C compiler installed on your system)? [yes]
Using compiler "/usr/bin/gcc". Use environment variable CC to override.
What is the location of the directory of C header files that match your running kernel? [/lib/modules/2.6.12-rc6/build/include]

Das Script erkennt also offensichtlich die verwendete gcc-Version nicht, obwohl sie "eigentlich" bekannt sein sollte:
gcc -dumpversion:
3.4.4
gcc-config -l :

[2] i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.4.4-hardened
[3] i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.4.4-hardenednopie
[4] i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.4.4-hardenednopiessp
[5] i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.4.4-hardenednossp
cat /proc/version:
Linux version 2.6.12-rc6 (root@mike) (gcc version 3.4.4 (Gentoo 3.4.4, ssp-3.4.4-1.0, pie-8.7.
) #5 Sun Jul 24 08:55:32 CEST 2005
