Radeon 9250 spinnt im Grafikmodus völlig.

Hallo, ich hab mir vor ein paar Tagen einen neuen Rechner gebaut: Mobo ASROCK 4core dual vsta, Graka ATI Radeon 9250 (Agp) 2048 mb Ram von POwerram, Intel E2180 Dualcore Prozi.
Die Hardware geht, aber immer wenn ich mit meinem Gentoo (2008 Alpha) den Xserver starte, ist der Mauszeiger ein komisches Rechteck.
Wenn ich ihn über den Bildschirm bewege, bleiben diese Rechtecke da, das heißt der Bildschirm ist bald völlig unleserlich.
Das passiert mir auch mit anderen Linux Distris, aber der Textmodus (Terminal) läuft immer perfekt

Bin verzweifelt, bitte helft mir.

Wie sollen wir dir helfen ohne irgendwelche Informationen?
  • Du gehst nicht auf die Kernelkonfiguration ein.
  • Es fehlen die geladenen Module (open source, closed source)
  • Du gehst nicht auf die Konfiguration von X ein (xorg.conf)
  • Es fehlt die Log Datei vom X-Server
  • Was hast du schon alles selbst versucht
  • ...

Später kann man dann mal HWCursor bzw. SWCursor ausprobieren, aber ohne die obigen Informationen nützt dies alles nichts.

Ich vermisse in der deiner xorg.conf eine "Device" Section für deine Graka. Da du eine Radeon 9250 hast, wird sich der FOSS ati treiber anbieten (VIDEO_CARDS="radeon" in der make.conf). Außerdem fehlt die "Screen" Section ...

Irgendwie ist diese xorg.conf IMHO etwas unvollständig ... findest du eine passende xorg.conf mit radeon? Sollten ja haufenweise im Netz rumliegen ...

danke für eure Hilfe, hat leider nichts gebracht, da ein Hardwareproblem bei der GraKa vorliegt.
Naja, hab jetzt ne S3 Trio 64 drin, die funktioniert :D
