hallo

zugriffe auf USB bringen bei mir auf gentoo die zugreiffende applikation zum hängen, zB:
[code:1]less /proc/bus/usb/devices[/code:1]
und schon lässt sich der prozess nicht mal mehr mit [code:1]killall -9 less[/code:1] abschiessen.
auch ein [code:1]rmmod ohci_hcd[/code:1] bleibt für immer hängen.
sauber herunterfahren kann ich danach auch nicht, weil es irgendwo bei hotplug stehen bleibt.

ich benutze udev mit kernel 2.6.8.1 (gentoo-dev-sources). mit knoppix 3.6 (knoppix26) funktioniert aber alles noch wie ich es von anderen distributionen gewohnt war, auch unter windows geht alles problemlos wie eh un jeh.

wie kann ich das wieder hinbekommen?

die probleme mit USB scheinen mit hotplug und meinem HP ScanJet 5300C zusammenzuhängen:

ist der scanner nie eingesteckt klappt ein cat /proc/bus/usb, ebenso klappt alles ähnlich katastrophal wie mit knoppix (farbige bänder auf dem scan / scannen hängt manchmal / manchmal auch das ganze system) falls ich hpusbscsi (nach sane/avision-page unterdessen obsolet) als modul kompiliert habe.

mit einem entsprechenden eintrag in /etc/hotplug/usb/libsane.usermap klappen sane-find-scanner sowie scanimage -L ohne hänger und ohne hpusbsci allerdings nur wenn ich den scanner nach dem booten einstecke. ist der scanner schon beim booten eingesteckt klappt gar nix wie in meinem ersten posting schon beschrieben.

leider bleibt aber ein scanimage > image.pnm immer noch hängen (lässt sich mit killall -9 scanimage nicht abschiessen) und das allerschönste ist ja, dass wenn ich meinen scanner ausstecke das kanze linux hängen bleibt, da hilft nur noch die reset-taste.
