Wenn ich in dolphin den Ordner (ntfs) mit meinen Fotos /*/*/*/Bilder öffne hängt sich das Fenster von dolphin auf. Vorschau ist deaktiviert. In dem Ordner befinden sich nur wenige Bilder "blank". Die meisten Bilder befinden sich in Thematischen Unterordnern. Mit anderen dolphin-Fenstern kann ich weiter arbeiten. Mit anderen Ordnern auf ntfs tritt das nicht auf.

Mein erster Verdacht wäre ein Dateisystem-Fehler. Überprüfe die Partitiom mit Windows.

Hast du bei einen anderen Dateiviewer wie etwa Nautilus oder Thunardas gleiche Problem?

Ich denke, es könnte ein KDE-lokales Problem sein. Läuft ein anderer KDE-Dienst da: Nepomuk, Strigi & Co.? Könnte auch sein, das Dolphin bei Nepomuk nachfragt, was es für Daten zu den Bildern gibt und Nepomuk ... tia ...

Ich verwende kein Nepomuk. Das heißt: es ist schon aktiv, indexiert aber ein leeres Verzeichnis. Beim Start zeigt sich dolphin dann bei mir so:

Obwohl du hast das Problem ja bei einem NTFS Ordner hast.

Zeigt der Code-Output den Zustand von dolphin beim Klick auf eben diesen NTFS mount?

Wie wäre es wenn du dich da mal mit nepomuk spielst und/oder die doplhin bzw. nepomuk/strigi settings in deinem ~/.kde4/share/config und ~ /.kde4/share/apps killst.

Ich verdächtige nach wie vor diesen Dienst als Hindernis.

Mmmmh ... das muss nicht damit was zu tun haben, ob diese Ordner indiziert werden oder nicht. Gut möglich, dass vielleicht genau *das* ja das Problem wäre.

Sieh mal: du greifst via Dolphin auf den Ordner zu. Dolphin liest den Order aus und damit er dir irgendwelche Extra-Informationen anbieten kann, fragt er Nepomuk was der dazu zu sagen hat. Nun gibt es diese Möglichkeiten (unter anderen):

a) Nepomuk begibt sich auf die Suche nach den Ordner Informationen und bleibt irgendwo unterwegs hängen. Vlt. sogar sehr busy: ... das sieht dann so aus, dass Dolphin hängt und Nepomuk (Strigi, Soprano) auf 100% CPU läuft.
b) Nepomuk sagt: es gibt nix aber Dolphin kriegt das nicht mit. So wartet Dolphin auf eine Antwort, die bereits gekommen ist und Nepomuk hat selbst keinen Anlass mehr irgendwas zu tun ... das sieht dann so aus, dass Dolphin hängt und die CPU auf 0% ist ...

Aber das ist alles nur graue Theorie ... da gehört schon wesentlich mehr Output deinerseits dazu. Vlt sogar ein strace und ein DBus-sniff ...

Kannst du dir das mal ansehen?

Ausserdem hast du sehr viele Fehlschläge bei denen sich soprano mit dem Nepomuk UNIX Socket verbinden möchte. Da ist was faul. Und ich denke, darin liegt der Wurm ...

Kannst du mal einen neuen, leeren User anlegen und mit dem das gleiche versuchen?

Hast du an Nepomuk/Strigi/Soprano irgendwo was gedreht?

Neuen Testuser angelegt. Folgendes Verhalten im Testuser:
Browsen des betreffenden Verzeichnisbaum i.O.. Beim 2'ten Versuch nicht mehr. Nepomuk etc. deaktiviert und alles *strig* *nepo* gelöscht. Keine Änderung.

Gibt es was hilfreiches im Terminal wenn du mit dem neu angelegten Testuser dolphin direkt das Problematische NTFS Verzeichnis mit übergibst?
Also zb etwas wie

Und: Lassen sich andere Verzeichnisse auf dem selben NTFS Laufwerk problemlos nutzen? Wenn ja, gibt es in dem Problem verursachenden Verzeichnis irgendwelche ungewöhnlichen Dateien?

Alle anderen Ordner der Partition machen keine Probleme. Ist mir erstmals mit kde 4.9 aufgefallen. Unter 4.8 hatte ich keine Probleme.
Es scheint ein generelles Problem mit Bildern in Dolphin zu bestehen. Auch in anderen Ordnern kann ich mit Rechtsklick auf Bilder Dolphin zum einfrieren bringen.

Fehler gefunden. Wenn ich .directory lösche, werden die Ordner /Dateien in "Symbolansicht" dargestellt. Das funktioniert. "Kompakter Anzeigemodus" funktioniert auch. Wenn ich in "Detailansicht wechsele (meine Standardeinstellung seit einigen kde releaes) , hängt sich Dolphin auf.
